Journey To Reverence

A Stop-motion Animation

Made using DragonFrame, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Aftereffects, and Harmony ToonBoom

I created this film as my thesis project in my fourth and final year of getting my Bachelors in Media Arts at Emily Carr University of Art and Design.

This film is about a young fairy that grows curiouser and curiouser of the origin of the human objects she’s been collecting. She lives in a forest oasis, but longs to see what else she’s missing. When she finds a postcard that shows a picture of what a human city looks like, and dreams of her idea of how it is later that night, she awakes and decides to go on an adventure to find it. Upon arriving in the bustling streets, she’s bombarded with overwhelming visuals and sounds, she witnesses the most upsetting things, almost gets stepped on, and saves a little bug from a big evil foot. After flying home with her new bug friend, she takes him back to the natural world where he can be safe, and discovers a newfound reverence for the world she once took for granted.
